FUNDEMUJER is a small but growing microfinance institution in the northern highlands of Nicaragua, which focuses on the empowerment of Nicaraguan women through access to credit and community outreach. While many Nicaraguan MFIs have been affected by the 2018 political crisis, FUNDEMUJER continues to effectively serve its borrowers in both urban and rural communities in northern Nicaragua, providing essential credit to small and micro businesses as they recover from the crisis.
